PROTECT & REJECT

     COLORADO's

Energy economy is under duress. I support an "All of the above" approach to energy in our state. That said, my support only extends to free market principle rather than the "Regulated Monopoly" that has brought us to this expensive and corrupt energy standard we have today.
I reject putting taxpayers on the hook for empty "pledges" and political rhetoric - that prove nothing more than blatant pandering for votes.
Black Hills & Xcel Energy are reacting to what our state government is telling them they must do. Although their moves are extremely harmful to ratepayers - The service providers aren't the root cause of Colorado's energy crisis.
Those causes carry political titles. State Senator, State Representative, County Commissioner..., Councilmen, and yes! Especially "Governor..." The "machine" these figureheads utilize to enforce their mission is the State's Public Utilities Commission.

As Governor, I will work with our federal delegation and introduce legislation that will bring the broadest expansion of energy production, transmission, & sale to our state. We will abolish the unelected bureaucracy of the P.U.C and redirect their mission toward oversight within a free-market energy economy, allowing Colorado families to choose the utility service provider(s) that fit their needs and budgets.

       COLORADO's

housing crisis is getting worse by the day. The influx in migration from places like Texas and California are wreaking havoc on our Colorado promise. Factor in the illegal migration into the United States, and it's making for disastrous, unsustainable housing crisis.

Rising Costs of living; engineered inflated home prices, and artificially low property taxes are setting Colorado families up for an economic catastrophe! In fiscal year 2025, the artificial measures to lower property taxes taken by an activist legislature, in their budgeting gimmicks and schemes came at the cost of our TABOR refunds. These temporary measures have become common place. a "status quo" setting up political showdowns, and leaving property owners in limbo until the next temporary gimmick gets passed...

If legitimate and definitive action isn't taken in the next assembly to rectify this; Colorado Families are at risk of losing their homes and their livelihood for the sake of an ever expensive government.

...As Governor, I will introduce legislation specifically designed to COMPLETELY ELIMINATE - RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAXES, for full time Colorado residents.

By the mere thought of this action, I have already sparked much discussion and heated argument at such a policy...

My opposition tells us that "the constitution ONLY entitles us to the "Pursuit of Happiness..."

(My correction to the statement: "The Pursuit of Happiness" is actually in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution...Given the fact that our very existence as a country, is based upon a tax grievance...and the fact that Colorado is essentially a "Taxation, without representation" state in this moment...makes for a perfect time to broach the subject!)

...My reaction to the argument is:

...True! We the People ARE entitled to the Pursuit of Happiness. HOWEVER, I refuse to believe it was the intent of the founding fathers that we as Americans; when having found even the smallest sliver of happiness that we are content with; didn't intend that we would be forced to spend our lifetime; leasing that happiness from our own government -- in order to keep it!"

               ~ Alexadner Mugatu

Fellow Coloradans; whether we choose to realize it or not; our very own government has waged war against that very "pursuit -- of our happiness". With the homeless crisis getting worse, costs of living on the rise, and public health & safety on the line...I REFUSE to allow an inefficient, ineffective and bloated government to remain the obstacle TO OUR COLORADO PROMISE!

             COLORADO's

Election Integrity is paramount. the battlelines have been drawn! In 2018 the legislature developed a redistricting system that rigged the commission tasked to redraw legislative and congressional districts after the 2020 census. Those systems were introduced as AMENTMENTS Y and Z and were set for the voters to approve. I believe the faith and trust in our election processes has been lost. With claims of corruption and illegitimacy in 2016 -- to the recent political persecution that happened in Mesa County, to the Corrupt methods of our own Secretary of State Jenna Griswold, attempting to remove a major party candidate from Colorado ballots out of blatant hyper-partisanship and political ideology. this, in addition to her exposing equipment passwords in the 2024 election --- where no officer of justice (AG Phil Weiser) even bat' an eye...

As a native Coloradan, I have seen how corruption has influenced our governance, and the tactics used to ensure a lopsided balance of political power is maintained.

As governor, I will work to modernize how Colorado runs its elections by providing a seat to all at the elections table. I will take to the people an amendment to the Colorado constitution that will remove our election processes from the "singular elected partisans" of the Secretary of State, and County Clerks---and instead replace the process with a state elections certification commission.

This commission will consist of term-limited members of any political party that may field a candidate for any public office in Colorado, regardless of jurisdiction. These members shall be nominated and elected at each respective party assembly and shall serve no more than 2 terms in their lifetime. Each party shall have the right to seat a representative at the county level, where such commission shall certify results and report to the state commission for final certification.

By giving all stakeholders, a seat at the table, shall give the most honest and transparent elections process Colorado has ever seen.

             REJECT

Passed measures like Senate Bill 21-271 -- the bill that set a dollar amount on victimhood before a criminal can be arrested and tied the hands of law enforcement. This bill also reduced the sentencing standards for crimes committed. In the eyes of this Soros funded bill, your value was set to $2000 dollars (tangible or monetary) that may be taken from you or loved ones before law enforcement can make a legal arrest.

As a side note to SB21-271, the legislature also adopted SB 22-133 which set "Special Security Protection Services" by the Colorado State Patrol to Statewide Constitutional officers while present in the state capitol. It also created an "appeals process" for denial of security services for members of the General Assembly... Protections for ME but not for THEE... is what this bill effectively achieved.

As governor, I will introduce legislation that will repeal both of these bills, Unshackle law enforcement and restore strict penalties for crimes committed in our state! I will also introduce legislation giving the General assembly authority to suspend any prosecutor or judge for lenient or preferential treatment  for crimes committed.

     I REJECT

The old ways of shady political shenanigans, corruption, and the good ol'boy methods for "buying votes." In the 73rd General Assembly, Rep. Daneya Esgar (D-Pueblo) passed a bill that effectively handed $7 Million of our tax dollars to COLORADO WINS -- the largest state employee union in Colorado. For the corrupt action, COLORADO WINS turned around and funneled those tax dollars right back into partisan legislative races as a thank you. It was an embezzlement scheme designed to launder taxpayer dollars to fund political campaigns.

Our system of government shouldn't be rigged to support voter bases and specific communities of interest...If I'm elected, Colorado will finally get a state government committed to work for the people, rather than forcing the people to work for an ineffective, inefficient, and at times corrupt government...

As Governor, I pledge the most open and transparent government in modern Colorado history. As my reputation precedes, I will PUBLICALLY call out corruption, inefficiency, and waste. I will continue challenge the status-quo, and expose policy deemed hazardous to Colorado's public health & safety.

With that said...I am not running to govern, over  -"WE the people..."

I'm running  for governor -- to govern the people's government!

This, is my commitment toward restoring the Colorado promise...

               PROTECT

The American dream - is the Colorado promise. With a lot of the "fun stuff" being addressed, (points 1-5)

To be a Governor of Colorado is a responsibility like no other... One must become a symbol of all that is best about our beloved state. An embodiment of our history, our culture, our morality..., - our pride of achievement. In short - serve as the beacon that stands a mile high! One must; in the harsh light of public ridicule, exhibit all of Colorado's virtues, and none of our perceived shortcomings. The next governor should serve the people of Colorado, and project the greatness from our HOME of HEROES; to the paradise of Breckenridge, the farms & ranches of Moffat and Baca....to the culture and history of Montezuma to Sedgwick...and everywhere in between...govern, with the strength & promise only Colorado can project.

My personal pledge to Colorado

  • As a born & bred Puebloan, I have high expectations for Colorado's public servants. - As Governor, It's my personal mission to sum up any action taken, with one simple question:  - "Does it do right - by every Coloradan?"

  • NULLIFY unnecessary statutes that inhibit Colorado's quality of life. This includes "GOTCHA" policies including worthless red flag laws, circumventing TABOR, and rejecting policy that Directly undermines the expressed will of the people in every county.

  • President Harry S. Truman; (a Democrat) once said: "You can't get rich in politics - unless you're a crook..."   As Governor, I will combat political corruption that threatens the "Colorado Promise" -- and bring forward policy that will utilize the talents of our communities -- to their greatest potential! In my first year, I will bring forward legislation such as:

  •  A proposal to expand the Colorado's reservoirs and fit the facilities with Hydro-electric production, storage and transmission infrastructure.

  •  Expand Colorado's Water storage capacities - and establish sites for new reservoirs & Hydro production. Ideally constructed using Colorado Steel & Colorado Concrete.

  •  Eliminate the "regulated monopoly" status Colorado has pertaining to Energy production and distribution -- opening  Colorado up for a more competitive energy grid and economy. (This will also include the abolition of the Public  Utilities Commission)

  • The U.S. Dept of Energy is looking to generate 150 Gigawatts of electricity using Hydro power by the year 2050. I see no reason; the vast majority of that production shouldn't be produced right here in Colorado. WORK PLAN: AS Governor, I will collaborate with Colorado's congressional delegation to secure federal funding for the broadest expansion of Hydro-electric energy production in the country. while engaging such discussions, I will also introduce legislation in the state legislature -- authorizing plans to retrofit existing water storage facilities, as well as seek out the viability, construction, and utilization of new Hydro powerplants & reservoirs throughout the state.

  • I will institute Consumer protections when engaging in transportation commerce - especially at Colorado airports.

  • Work with the state affairs & Transportation committees -- as well as our federal delegations to provide finance and matching funds to modernize some of Colorado's regional Airports.

  •  Finally address Colorado's failing infrastructure. We will audit CDOT to learn their "formulas" for disbursing of SB 108 funds. (The Senate Bill that raised your vehicle registration fees - (known as F.A.S.T.E.R. "Funding Advancement for Surface Transportation and "ECONOMIC RECOVERY") and prioritize areas based off necessity.

  • As a public servant, I understand that "just because I could - doesn't always mean that I should." Colorado families will ALWAYS be placed before politics; never again to suffer the degradation of our most sacred traditions. I pledge it is time that we reclaim our heritage. I say it is time we reclaim our communal pride. I say it is time to Restore the Colorado Promise!
